New square bench "Charlie" for Rive Gauche in Charleroi

Years of work have finally ended in the center of Charleroi with the reopening of Place Verte and the grand opening of the Commercial center Rive Gauche. Now Charleroi is nicely redesigned from the railway station with our benches "Galet", with our long benches near the Sambre river and until its busy commercial city center with our benches "Charlie". The global architectural project has been created by DDS and the square bench Charlie has been designed by MSA.

The bench "Charlie" is particularly well designed with a space under the seat to enable people with physical difficulties to stand-up easily. The surface is lightly sloped so rainwater runs away, there is less dust and garbage. Its rounded angles make it also very attractive. Its base is also noticeable with a white stick so there is not hazard for people with vision issues. Is square design and lines allows also 4 people who don't necessarily know each other to sit together because they are not facing one another. So yes, now "Charlie" is available for other places around the world.
